Help Center

Get ready before the room fills.

Use this checklist to start reliable live captions and solve the most common microphone, network, and audience-sharing issues.

Quick start

  1. Sign in with Google and check your remaining translation time.
  2. Select the language being spoken.
  3. Select one or two translation languages.
  4. Allow microphone access and start translation.
  5. Adjust caption size or enter projector mode.
  6. Start QR sharing if attendees need captions on their phones.

Microphone checklist

Use a microphone close to the speaker. Confirm permission in both the browser and operating system. A laptop placed far from venue speakers may capture echo and audience noise, reducing recognition quality.

Connection and QR sharing

LiveTrans requires a stable internet connection. Scan the QR code with a second device before the event and test both venue Wi-Fi and mobile data. End audience sharing when the session finishes, particularly for private meetings.

How do I start live translation?

Sign in, add translation minutes, choose the spoken language and one or two target languages, allow microphone access, and press the microphone button.

Why is no audio being recognized?

Check the browser microphone permission, confirm the correct system input, move the microphone closer to the speaker, and avoid multiple people speaking at once.

Do audience members need an account?

No. Start QR sharing and let attendees scan the code. Their read-only caption screen opens in a browser without an account or app.

What should I test before an event?

Test the actual microphone, venue network, projector readability, target languages, and QR link on a second phone before attendees arrive.
